A familiar and welcoming sight particularly in the west of Ireland, Montbretia can be found in abundance along the West Cork and Kerry coast. Exotic in colour and origin, Montbretia is as synonymous with the area as the Fuchsia - each one lending vibrancy and colour to the landscapes many overgrown hedgerows and dunes.

Montbretia at Dawn was inspired by the close study of this landscape, local to the artist.
