Biography/CV Geraldine O'Sullivan

Summary of Career

Geraldine O’Sullivan is a fulltime artist with eleven years experience of exhibiting and selling her work in Ireland and the UK. A native of West Cork, she graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, with First Class Honours. She now lives and paints from her studio in Ballylibert, Castlefreke, West Cork.

Geraldine has had numerous solo exhibitions and has been included in may group exhibitions in Ireland and the UK. Her work features in public and private collections including the Office of Public Works, the Institute of Technology, Tralee, Co Kerry, the Health Service Executive, Doonbeg Developments, Co Clare. Rolf-Judd Architects, The Oval, London. 

Qualifications

1977-1981 National College of Art & Design Dublin /First Class Honours Diploma

1981-1982 Crafts Council of Ireland/ /Certificate in Start Your Own Business Course

2002-2003 University College Cork/Diploma in Rural Development.

Residencies

2008 Cill Railigh, Co Kerry.

2007 Artist in Residence in Schools Programme, Colaiste na Toirbhrte, Bandon, Co. Cork.

Exhibitions

Geraldine has exhibited extensively since 2004 and has experimented with a number formats for exhibiting her work. For the past six years she has organised an annual Open Studio exhibition through which she sells directly to customers while building a unique relationship with her buyers.
